Seasons

Winter is creeping up on those of us that live in the Northern Hemisphere - it is sixteen days away.  Here in Mid-Michigan temperatures are forecast to drop below freezing today and stay there for the next ten days.  As much as many people complain about the weather, we are fortunate to have four distinct seasons to our year - each with its own beauty and challenges.  To read more about the changing of season look at these pages:  Spring, Summer, Fall.  I will write about the winter solstice when it occurs.

Here are four photographs to represent the four seasons.

Spring - Trilliums at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore near Empire, MI

Summer - Black-eyed Susans at Forest Hill Nature Area, Alma, MI

Fall - American Beech at Mission Creek Woodland Park, Mt. Pleasant, MI

Winter - Snowy fields near Mt. Pleasant, MI
